Sinopah wet from the river, sitting in tall grass with forested banks behind her

Plain language

Can I still fetch?

Start here after a hard night, after an idiopathic shrug, or when you want help that can remember your dog from week to week.

Short answer many people need: you are not a monster for wanting them to be themselves. The honest answer is harder: some dogs have a seizure or collapse after the work that makes them whole. Meds help most. For some households, fetch or sport needs a careful method, not a shrug and not a blanket ban written in guilt.

Ball Throwers will not give you a safety certificate. We will not shame you for throwing the ball. We help you watch this dog, test carefully, and keep your veterinarian in the loop.

What “still fetch” can mean

Cooling and heat frames Sinopah’s earned path carefully. Your dog may need a different door.

Cousins of the same question

Not only epilepsy. Border collie collapse, heat intolerance, and drive that triggers trouble after sport ask the same caregiver question: can they still be a working soul in a pet life? Bright lines matter; diseases are not the same. The bind posture is. See Working-breed triggers.
